Our Process / Design

1 /Introductory Consultation

We use this initial meeting as an opportunity to view your property for the first time, establish the scope of work and review your ‘wish list’. At this meeting, our design team will start to outline a construction budget. We will address any concerns you may have and answer all of your questions about the project.

2 /3D Computer Presentation

During this meeting, our design team will present you with a preliminary 3D computer presentation showcasing all of the elements discussed during our consultation. We will also review the construction budget as the project currently stand and document any changes, alterations, and general comments that need to be addressed as we proceed.

3 /Amendments and Revisions

After the first presentation, our design team will make all necessary changes, address all comments and add more detail to complete the design as discussed.  After each project revision, we will meet with you for your feedback. This step is sometimes repeated several times until the design plan is perfected.

4 /Finalizing the Design

Once the conceptual design is completed, we move into the next phase. The Designing With Elements team will create a site plan and general working plans that can be used for contractor estimating. The site plan will show general notes, have detailed images of the design, and indicate key components to the project.

5 /Choosing Your Team

We can recommend high level contractors to install the project to spec with a high level of workmanship, strong moral principles, and within budget. The client can also choose to hire us to manage scheduling, inspections, and quality control, and oversee the project to completion. The choice is entirely up to you.

Our Process / Supply

1 /Selecting Design Elements

With the help of the 3D design plan, choosing materials becomes a stress-free and streamlined process. We help you select all the materials needed to build the job, taking into account texture, color, and longevity of the design style.  We supply you with appliance recommendations and pricing of all accessories, fire features needed for the build and outdoor furniture for when construction is complete.

2 /Bid Review

We prepare bid sheets for contractors to price out the proposed work and to review it with our clients.  We help negotiate fair pricing for the proposed work and eliminate duplicate charges for services rendered and help our clients maintain the overall construction budget.  We help bring together the best possible team to complete the proposed project and to do so within a reasonable time period.

3 /Project Supervision

Our team will act as a general contractor – overseeing, managing, and collaborating with all parties involved. Every architect, engineer, surveyor, expediter, and specialist will be included in our team discussions, with the goal of facilitating the approval of building permits needed for the proposed project.  We supervise these key components to ensure the best results possible.

4 /Creating a Time Table

After receiving structural plans, contractor pricing is finalized. At this time, if you have chosen to have an outside contracting company complete the project, contractors are hired.  Once the construction team is in place, a projected time line for the project is created. As soon as building permits are obtained, a start date is chosen that accommodates all schedules involved.

Our Process / Manage

1 /Team Consultation

We will schedule and oversee a field meeting on site with key team members.  At this time, any important items will be marked out and spray painted on the ground to show the overall layout of the project.  All new underground utilities and sleeving needed for future access will also be marked.

2 /Quality Control

Our project managers will supervise construction and photo document the construction process. Project managers will be on site through the process to make sure quality of work exceeds industry standards. We will maintain consistent contact with you to ensure your happiness with the project.

3 /Scheduling

Keeping the project moving forward requires a lot of communication between all contractors, inspectors, and planning for inclement weather.  The project schedule will be kept and maintained throughout the construction process and daily updates will be provided to the client.

4 /Overseeing Change Orders

Every Project has changes, add-ons, or unforeseen expenses that need to be properly managed.  We sign off on issuing contractor payments as the work is completed and help negotiate change work orders as they occur. Our team will document all transactions for your records.
